| 2Listen to my prayer, O God. Pay attention to my plea. | 2O God, listen to my prayer! Pay attention to what I say! |
| 3For strangers are attacking me; violent people are trying to kill me. They care nothing for God. Interlude | 3For foreigners attack me; ruthless men, who do not respect God, seek my life. (Selah) |
| 4But God is my helper. The Lord keeps me alive! | 4Look, God is my deliverer! The Lord is among those who support me. |
