1 As Jesus left the temple and was walking away, His disciples came up to Him to point out its buildings. Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to <i>him</i> for to shew him the buildings of the temple. Jesus left the temple <i>area</i> and was going <i>on His way</i> when His disciples came up to point out the temple buildings to Him. Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings.
2 “ Do you see all these things? He replied. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down. But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.” And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. But He responded and said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Truly I say to you, not <i>one</i> stone here will be left upon another, which will not be torn down.” “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”
3 While Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately. “Tell us, they said, “when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age? As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what <i>shall be</i> the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what <i>will be</i> the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”
4 Jesus answered, “See to it that no one deceives you. And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ, and will deceive many. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will mislead many people. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.
6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all <i>these things</i> must come to pass, but the end is not yet. And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for <i>those things</i> must take place, but <i>that</i> is not yet the end. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 13 But the one who perseveres to the end will be saved. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. But the one who endures to the end is the one who will be saved. but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. 18 And let no one in the field return for his cloak. and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 How miserable those days will be for pregnant and nursing mothers! And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But woe to those women who are pregnant, and to those who are nursing babies in those days! How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!
20 Pray that your flight will not occur in the winter or on the Sabbath. Pray that your flight may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: Moreover, pray that when you flee, it will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 21 For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the world until now, no, and never will be. 23 At that time, if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ! or ‘There He is! do not believe it. Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here <i>is</i> Christ, or there; believe <i>it</i> not. Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the Christ,’ or ‘<i>He is over</i> here,’ do not believe <i>him.</i> At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it.
24 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders that would deceive even the elect, if that were possible. For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if <i>it were</i> possible, they shall deceive the very elect. For false christs and false prophets will arise and will provide great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
25 See, I have told you in advance. See, I have told you beforehand. Behold, I have told you before. Behold, I have told you in advance. See, I have told you ahead of time.
26 So if they tell you, ‘There He is in the wilderness, do not go out; or, ‘Here He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, <i>he is</i> in the secret chambers; believe <i>it</i> not. So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; <i>or,</i> ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe <i>them.</i> “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.
27 For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather. Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. 31 And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer <i>is</i> nigh: “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: as soon as its branch has become tender and sprouts its leaves, you know that summer is near; “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.
33 So also, when you see all these things, you will know that He is near, right at the door. So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, <i>even</i> at the doors. so you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, <i>right</i> at the door. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. 43 But understand this: If the homeowner had known in which watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into.
44 For this reason, you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect. Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. For this reason you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think <i>He will.</i> So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.
45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the others their food at the proper time? “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time? Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? “Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household slaves, to give them their food at the proper time? “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?
46 Blessed is that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Blessed <i>is</i> that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Blessed is that slave whom his master finds so doing when he comes. It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns.
47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. Truly, I say to you, he will set him over all his possessions. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. Truly I say to you that he will put him in charge of all his possessions. 48 But suppose that servant is wicked and says in his heart, ‘My master will be away a long time. But if that wicked servant says to himself, ‘My master is delayed,’ But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; But if that evil slave says in his heart, ‘My master is not coming for a long time,’ But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’
49 And he begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. and begins to beat his fellow servants and eats and drinks with drunkards, And shall begin to smite <i>his</i> fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; and he begins to beat his fellow slaves, and he eats and drinks with those habitually drunk; and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.
50 The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not anticipate. the master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he does not know The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for <i>him</i>, and in an hour that he is not aware of, <i>then</i> the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect, and at an hour that he does not know, The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour he is not aware of.
51 Then he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. and will cut him in pieces and put him with the hypocrites.
