1 Every one who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been begotten of God; and every one who loves Him Who begat loves him also that has been begotten of Him. 2 In this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and do His commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome; 4 because all that has been begotten of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith. 5 And who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God? 6 This is He Who came through water and blood, Jesus Christ; not in the water only, but in the water and in the blood. 7 And the Spirit is He Who beareth witness, because the Spirit is the Truth: 8 because there are Three Who bear witness; the Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and the Three agree in one. 1 John 5:1-8, Worrell New Testament.
