17 and he bearing his cross, marched out to a place called the skull, which is in the Syriac, Golgotha: where they crucified him, 18 and two others with him, one on each side, and Jesus in the middle. 19 and Pilate caused an inscription to be put over the cross, in these words, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. 20 now this inscription was read by many of the Jews: for Jesus was crucified nigh the city: and it was written in Syriac, Greek, and Latin.
