Apply her perseverance to struggles?
How can we apply the woman's perseverance in our spiritual and physical struggles?

A Snapshot of Determined Faith

• “She had endured much under the care of many physicians and had spent everything she had, yet she was not improved; instead, she had grown worse.” (Mark 5:26)

• Twelve years of pain, poverty, and disappointment did not silence her hope.

• She pressed through the crowd to touch Christ, convinced that a single touch would change everything (Mark 5:28-29).

Lessons for Our Spiritual Struggles

• Stay relentless when answers delay.

Luke 18:1: “Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray at all times and not lose heart.”

• Reject fatalism; choose expectancy.

Psalm 27:13-14 urges waiting on the LORD with courage.

• Keep moving toward Jesus rather than away from Him when life worsens.

Hebrews 12:2: fix our eyes on Jesus, “the author and perfecter of our faith.”

• Remember that Christ honors persevering faith.

Hebrews 11:6: “He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.”

Lessons for Our Physical Struggles

• Use available means (medicine, counsel) yet anchor confidence in the Great Physician.

2 Chronicles 16:12 warns against seeking human help apart from the LORD.

• Refuse resignation; pursue healing in wholehearted dependence on Christ.

James 5:14-15 links prayer and anointing with the Lord’s restorative touch.

• Understand that hardship can deepen intimacy with Christ.

Philippians 3:10 speaks of knowing Him “in the fellowship of His sufferings.”

Practical Steps to Persevere Today

• Speak Scripture over your situation daily.

Romans 10:17: faith grows by hearing the word of Christ.

• Cultivate a stubborn gratitude list, even when pain persists (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

• Surround yourself with faith-filled companions who lift, not drain, your hope (Hebrews 10:24-25).

• Keep serving others; God often refreshes us while we refresh them (Proverbs 11:25).

• Celebrate incremental progress; every small victory is a testimony in the making (1 Samuel 17:37).

Promises to Fuel Our Endurance

Isaiah 40:29-31—strength for the weary, renewed like eagles.

2 Corinthians 4:16—“Though our outer self is wasting away, yet our inner self is being renewed day by day.”

Galatians 6:9—“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up.”

Revelation 21:4—coming day of no more pain, tears, or death.

Christ’s Compassion for the Weary

Mark 5:34 records His verdict: “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be free of your affliction.”

• The same Jesus still hears, heals, and honors faith that refuses to quit.

In what ways can we support those suffering like the woman in Mark 5:26?
