Applying unwavering faith daily?
How can we apply "faith and do not doubt" in our daily lives?

Setting the Scene

“Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.” (Matthew 21:21)

What Jesus Meant by “Faith and Do Not Doubt”

• Faith is confident trust in God’s character, promises, and power (Hebrews 11:1).

• “Do not doubt” calls for wholehearted reliance, not a divided mind (James 1:6–8).

• Mountains, whether literal or figurative, yield to God’s authority expressed through believing prayer.

Why Doubt Creeps In

• Looking at circumstances rather than Christ (Matthew 14:30).

• Forgetting past deliverances (Psalm 78:11).

• Listening to contrary voices more than to Scripture (Genesis 3:1).

Practical Ways to Exercise Mountain-Moving Faith

1. Feed on God’s Word daily

– “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.” (Romans 10:17)

2. Pray Scripture back to God

– Turn promises into petitions (e.g., Philippians 4:19; Psalm 34:17).

3. Speak faith-filled words

– Jesus: “Whoever does not doubt in his heart but believes … it will be done for him.” (Mark 11:23)

4. Act as though God’s answer is on the way

– Noah built the ark before a drop of rain (Hebrews 11:7).

5. Guard the mind

– “Take every thought captive to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5)

Everyday Scenarios

• Finances: Tithe first, trusting God to supply needs (Malachi 3:10; Matthew 6:33).

• Health: Pray for healing, follow wise counsel, and thank God for progress even before it’s visible (James 5:14–15).

• Relationships: Forgive by faith, believing God can soften hearts (Mark 11:25).

• Work: Step into assignments with confidence that God equips what He calls you to do (Philippians 4:13).

Encouragement from Other Passages

• Abraham “did not waver through unbelief” and saw the promise fulfilled (Romans 4:20–21).

• Joshua commanded the sun to stand still—God honored bold faith (Joshua 10:12–14).

• Daniel’s friends trusted God in the furnace; deliverance or martyrdom, they would not doubt (Daniel 3:17–18).

Checklist for the Week

☐ Read Matthew 21:18-22 each morning.

☐ Write one “mountain” you face; speak God’s promise over it aloud.

☐ Replace every doubtful thought with a verse of truth.

☐ Celebrate small evidences of God’s moving, strengthening faith for greater things.
