Avoid complicity in modern Babylon's sins?
How can we ensure we are not complicit in Babylon's sins today?

Babylon’s Bloody Ledger

Revelation 18:24: ‘And there was found in her the blood of prophets and saints, and of all who were slain on the earth.’”

The Spirit exposes Babylon as a system that sheds innocent blood and persecutes God’s people. The warning is personal: avoid sharing her guilt.

Core Sins God Counts as Babylonian

- Hatred and murder of the righteous (Revelation 17:6)

- Idolatry and occult practices (Revelation 18:23; Jeremiah 51:7)

- Greed-driven exploitation of commerce and labor (Revelation 18:11-13)

- Sexual immorality and moral filth (Revelation 17:2)

- Arrogant self-glorification (Revelation 18:7)

- Violence and disregard for life (Revelation 18:24)

Current Echoes of the Same Spirit

- Industries that profit from abortion, human trafficking, or pornography

- Business models built on dishonest wages or sweat-shop labor (James 5:1-4)

- Entertainment normalizing violence, occult themes, or promiscuity (Ephesians 5:12)

- Cultural and legislative efforts that silence biblical truth (John 15:18-20)

- National and corporate pride that trusts wealth or weapons instead of God (Psalm 20:7)

The Command to Separate

“Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues.” (Revelation 18:4)

- Separation is primarily moral and spiritual (2 Corinthians 6:17)

- Light must expose darkness, not blend with it (Ephesians 5:11)

Practical Ways to Avoid Complicity

1. Filter every influence through Philippians 4:8.

2. Direct money toward kingdom work, not exploitative products (Matthew 6:19-21).

3. Defend unborn life and the oppressed (Proverbs 31:8-9).

4. Remain doctrinally sound and committed to a faithful church (2 Timothy 4:2-5).

5. Cultivate contentment; reject covetous consumerism (1 Timothy 6:6-10).

6. Honor marriage and flee sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18; Hebrews 13:4).

7. Ask the Spirit to expose hidden compromises (Psalm 139:23-24).

8. Testify boldly to Christ; overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of testimony (Revelation 12:11).

Living Toward the Certain Future

Heaven rejoices when Babylon falls (Revelation 19:1-2). Aligning with the Lamb now prepares us for that victory. Our citizenship is in the New Jerusalem (Philippians 3:20); therefore, we live as pilgrims, unseduced by a doomed world system and eager for the everlasting kingdom of Christ.
