How can God disarm our spiritual foes?
In what ways can we trust God to disarm our spiritual enemies?

The Promise in Ezekiel 39:3

“Then I will strike your bow from your left hand and knock your arrows from your right hand.”

Why This Matters for Us

Ezekiel speaks of a literal future battle, yet the principle of God personally breaking an enemy’s weapons carries straight into our daily spiritual warfare. He does not merely weaken hostile forces—He strips them of the very tools they would use against His people.

How God Disarms Our Spiritual Enemies

• He breaks the strategy before it launches. “The LORD nullifies the counsel of the nations; He frustrates the plans of the peoples.” (Psalm 33:10)

• He exposes lies with absolute truth. “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32)

• He silences every accusation. “Who can bring an accusation against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.” (Romans 8:33-34)

• He removes the power of fear. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.” (2 Timothy 1:7)

• He outfits us with unassailable armor. “Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil.” (Ephesians 6:11)

• He guarantees total, final victory. “Having disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.” (Colossians 2:15)

Living Out That Trust

– Stand on Scripture daily—the sword of the Spirit cleaves through every weapon formed against you.

– Speak truth over temptation; lies lose their grip the moment light touches them.

– Remember the cross: Christ has already paraded defeated foes; we fight from victory, not for it.

– Lean into the Spirit’s power; He provides boldness where fear once reigned.

– Celebrate small deliverances—they preview the final disarming still ahead (Revelation 20:10).

As surely as God will one day knock the literal arrows from Gog’s hands, He is presently—and faithfully—stripping every spiritual adversary of the weapons aimed at His redeemed people.
