How can we accept others daily?
How can we "accept one another" in our daily interactions with others?

The Call to Welcome

“Therefore welcome one another, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” (Romans 15:7)

Why Acceptance Matters

• Christ’s welcome of us is the pattern; His glory is the purpose.

• Every believer—strong or weak, similar or different—belongs to the same body (Romans 12:4-5).

• Accepting others shows the world the reality of the gospel (John 13:34-35).

Seeing Others Through Christ’s Eyes

• Made in God’s image (Genesis 1:27).

• Redeemed by Christ’s blood (1 Peter 1:18-19).

• Indwelt by the same Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13).

• Destined for the same eternity (Revelation 7:9-10).

Practical Ways to Accept One Another

Home

• Listen first; speak second (James 1:19).

• Outdo one another in showing honor (Romans 12:10).

• Forgive quickly and completely (Ephesians 4:32).

Church

• Welcome newcomers by name; share your seat, your story, your number (1 Peter 4:9).

• Lay aside non-essential preferences to protect unity (Romans 14:19).

• Serve according to gifting, not status (1 Corinthians 12:22-25).

Workplace & Community

• Refuse gossip and favoritism (James 2:1).

• Let kindness shape every conversation (Colossians 4:6).

• Carry burdens—offer help, a meal, a ride, a prayer (Galatians 6:2).

When Acceptance Is Hard

• Remember how much you’ve been forgiven (Matthew 18:21-35).

• Ask God to search your heart for pride or prejudice (Psalm 139:23-24).

• Choose humility: “in humility consider others more important than yourselves” (Philippians 2:3).

• Keep eternity in view—temporary irritations fade beside everlasting fellowship (2 Corinthians 4:17-18).

Bearing Fruit of Acceptance

• Love bonds everything together in perfect unity (Colossians 3:14).

• Peace rules our hearts and our gatherings (Colossians 3:15).

• Joy becomes contagious; a welcoming church attracts seekers (Acts 2:47).

• God receives glory—the ultimate goal of every relationship (Romans 15:6).
