How can we share God's word like Baruch?
What practical steps can we take to share God's word like Baruch?

Baruch’s Example in Jeremiah 36:6

“Therefore go you, and on the fast day read to the people from the scroll that you have written at my dictation — the words of the Lord that you wrote. Read them also to all the people of Judah who come from their cities.”

Baruch modeled simple, courageous obedience: he received God’s message, wrote it faithfully, and delivered it publicly at God’s appointed place and time.

Step 1: Receive God’s Word Personally

• Listen before you speak: spend unhurried time in Scripture each day (James 1:21–22; Psalm 119:11).

• Let the Word search your heart so you share from overflow, not emptiness (Colossians 3:16).

Step 2: Record the Message Accurately

• Keep written notes, journals, or digital files of insights; accuracy matters (Deuteronomy 6:6–9).

• Check context and meaning; “rightly divide the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).

Step 3: Go Where the People Are

• Baruch went to the temple courts on a national fast day; identify today’s gathering places (workplace, school, online spaces, neighborhoods).

• Be intentional: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19).

Step 4: Present the Word Clearly and Publicly

• Read or quote Scripture aloud; God’s voice carries its own authority (1 Timothy 4:13).

• Use plain language, illustrations, and testimonies without diluting the message (Nehemiah 8:8).

Step 5: Serve Under God-Given Authority

• Baruch submitted to Jeremiah; honor pastors, elders, and local church structure (Hebrews 13:17).

• Collaboration prevents lone-ranger tendencies and adds accountability (Proverbs 11:14).

Step 6: Persist in the Face of Opposition

• Baruch risked the wrath of kings (Jeremiah 36:19–26); expect resistance but refuse silence (Acts 4:19–20).

• Rely on the Spirit’s boldness, not personal charisma (2 Timothy 1:7).

Step 7: Saturate the Work in Prayer and Dependence

• Pray before, during, and after sharing; only God opens hearts (Acts 16:14).

• Trust the Lord with results; His word “will not return to Me empty” (Isaiah 55:11).

Step 8: Guard Both the Message and Your Own Soul

• Keep Scripture intact; do not trim or add (Proverbs 30:5–6).

• When backlash comes, remember God’s protection of Baruch (Jeremiah 36:27–31) and cling to His promises (Psalm 91:1–2).

Putting It All Together

Receiving, recording, going, presenting, submitting, persisting, praying, and guarding—this eight-fold pattern mirrors Baruch’s faithfulness. Follow it, and you will share God’s Word with the same clarity, courage, and confidence that marked the scribe who stood beside Jeremiah.
