How can we show God's grace to others?
In what ways can we reflect God's grace to others around us?

Setting the Scene

Psalm 67:1: “May God be gracious to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us—Selah.”

The psalmist longs not only to receive God’s grace but for God’s shining face to be visible among His people. When His light rests on us, it naturally reflects onto everyone we meet.

Letting His Grace Flow Through Us

God’s gracious blessing is never meant to terminate on us; it is designed to move through us. Think of grace as sunlight on a mirror: if the mirror stays clean and turned toward the sun, the rays bounce outward.

Ten Everyday Expressions of Grace

• Forgive quickly and completely—“Be kind and tender-hearted to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32).

• Speak life-giving words—“Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones” (Proverbs 16:24).

• Show tangible kindness to the overlooked—“Love your enemies, do good to them… and you will be sons of the Most High” (Luke 6:35).

• Practice generous hospitality—“Contribute to the needs of the saints and practice hospitality” (Romans 12:13).

• Uphold justice with mercy—“What does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8).

• Intercede faithfully—“I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for all people” (1 Timothy 2:1).

• Encourage and build up—“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

• Radiate joyful integrity—“Do everything without complaining or arguing… shine as lights in the world” (Philippians 2:14-16).

• Share the saving message—“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19-20).

• Give generously—“God loves a cheerful giver… you will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion” (2 Corinthians 9:7-11).

Keeping the Mirror Bright

• Stay in the Word daily (Psalm 119:105).

• Confess sin promptly (1 John 1:9).

• Cultivate gratitude (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

A clean, grateful heart keeps the mirror polished, ensuring that His face continues to shine through us.
