How can we spread Jesus' fame today?
In what ways can we spread Jesus' fame in our communities today?

The Crowd-Drawer in Mark 3:8

“When they heard about all that He was doing, large crowds came to Him…” (Mark 3:8)

News of Jesus’ words and works spread so rapidly that people traveled miles just to see Him. The same pattern still holds: when people hear what Christ is doing, they are drawn to Him.

Why Jesus’ Fame Matters

• His glory deserves to be known (Psalm 145:6)

• People cannot believe unless they hear (Romans 10:14-15)

• When others see changed lives, they glorify God (Matthew 5:16)

Practical Ways to Spread His Fame Today

• Share personal stories

– Tell how Christ saved you, healed you, guided you.

– “Give thanks to the LORD… make known His deeds” (Psalm 105:1).

• Speak the gospel plainly

– Explain sin, the cross, and resurrection in everyday language.

– Be ready with a gentle answer (1 Peter 3:15).

• Live noticeably different lives

– Integrity at work, purity in relationships, joy in trials.

– Good deeds shine like light (Matthew 5:16).

• Serve tangible needs

– Feed the hungry, visit the lonely, mentor youth.

– “Let us love… in action and truth” (1 John 3:18).

– Acts of mercy validate the message.

• Use digital platforms wisely

– Post Scripture, testimonies, and Christ-honoring content.

– Start online prayer groups or Bible reading plans.

– Reach those who may never enter a church building.

• Celebrate corporate worship openly

– Invite friends to gatherings where Christ is preached.

– Streams and outdoor services can reach passers-by.

• Multiply through discipleship

– Meet one-on-one or in small groups to study the Word.

– Teach others to do the same, echoing 2 Timothy 2:2.

• Partner with community events

– Volunteer at fairs, clean-up days, school functions.

– Let the church be visible as a blessing, not a fortress.

The Power Behind Our Effort

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses…” (Acts 1:8)

We rely on the Spirit’s enablement; our role is faithfulness, His is fruitfulness.

Living the Ripple Effect

As in Mark 3:8, one testimony sparks another. Speak, serve, and shine where you are; God will gather the crowds to His Son.

How does Mark 3:8 connect with the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20?
