How do we trust Christ's sacrifice today?
In what ways can we rely on Christ's once-for-all sacrifice today?

The Single, Sufficient Sacrifice

“Nor did He enter heaven to offer Himself again and again, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own.” — Hebrews 9:25

Because Jesus’ offering was once for all, we can lean on it every day, in every season.

Resting in Complete Forgiveness

• Past, present, and future sins were dealt with at the cross (Hebrews 10:14).

• No repeated ritual is needed; we simply confess and walk in the light (1 John 1:7–9).

• Guilt loses its grip, because “as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:12).

Drawing Near with Confidence

• The torn veil grants continual access: “Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus…” (Hebrews 10:19–22).

• Prayer becomes conversation, not performance.

• We hold nothing back, knowing “we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).

Living from a Cleansed Conscience

• “How much more will the blood of Christ… cleanse our consciences from dead works to serve the living God!” (Hebrews 9:14).

• We no longer serve to earn favor; we serve from gratitude.

• Shame is silenced, freeing us to walk in joyful obedience.

Overcoming Sin by His Finished Work

• “The death He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life He lives, He lives to God” (Romans 6:10).

• We count ourselves “dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus” (Romans 6:11).

• Victory flows from identity, not self-effort.

Standing Secure in Eternal Acceptance

• Our salvation rests on His completed mission, not our fluctuating performance (John 10:28–29).

• Satan’s accusations lose weight—“Who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus… intercedes for us” (Romans 8:34).

• Assurance breeds stability in trials.

Fueling Worship and Service

• Love responds to love: “The love of Christ compels us” (2 Corinthians 5:14–15).

• Generosity, evangelism, and compassion arise naturally when we recall the cost paid.

• The Lord’s Supper continually points us back to the once-for-all gift (1 Corinthians 11:26).

Anchoring Our Hope for Tomorrow

• His sacrifice secures an unshakeable future: “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and steadfast” (Hebrews 6:19–20).

• The same blood that saved us will bring us blameless before the throne (Jude 24).

• Therefore we “encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:25).

Christ offered Himself once; we rely on that act always.
