How to boldly share Jesus' teachings?
In what ways can we boldly proclaim Jesus' teachings today?

The Call to Stand Unashamed

“Whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in His Father’s glory with the holy angels.” (Mark 8:38)

Jesus links our public allegiance to Him with our future standing before Him. Silence about His words is never neutral; it betrays either faith or fear.

Grounded in the Gospel’s Power

Romans 1:16: “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.”

Bold proclamation rests on confidence that the message itself carries divine power. We are messengers, not manufacturers, of that power.

Practical Ways to Proclaim Boldly Today

• Share the good news conversationally—family dinners, break rooms, community events.

• Open the Bible with someone one-on-one; reading aloud lets Scripture speak for itself.

• Post clear, gospel-centered content on social media: verses, testimonies, links to solid teaching.

• Host or join neighborhood Bible studies; invite seekers to explore Jesus’ words firsthand.

• Use creative arts—music, writing, visual media—to echo kingdom truth.

• Advocate publicly for biblical justice issues (sanctity of life, care for the poor) while naming Christ as the reason for your stance.

• Disciple newer believers, teaching them “to obey everything” Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:20).

• Engage in evangelism outreaches: street ministry, prison visits, campus conversations.

• Support global missions through giving, prayer, and short-term trips; the Great Commission is cross-cultural at its core.

Speaking Truth in Love

1 Peter 3:15 reminds us to give a reason for our hope “with gentleness and respect.”

• Tone matters; boldness without love becomes brashness. Love without truth becomes sentimentality.

• Refuse to soften hard sayings of Jesus, yet deliver them with compassion for lost people.

Living Sermons: Character and Compassion

Philippians 2:15 urges us to “shine as lights in the world.” Integrity backs up proclamation.

• Serve sacrificially—the hungry, sick, lonely. Tangible mercy authenticates verbal witness (James 2:14-17).

• Model repentance; owning our failures displays the gospel’s transforming grace.

Harnessing Today’s Platforms

• Podcasting, blogging, livestreaming Bible exposition.

• Short-form videos answering common objections to Christianity.

• Online discussion forums where patient, Scripture-anchored dialogue can flourish.

• Digital Bible apps for sharing reading plans with friends.

Strengthened by the Spirit

Acts 1:8: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses.”

Acts 4:29-31 shows the early church praying for boldness; God answered with fresh filling. Persist in prayer, expecting the same empowerment.

2 Timothy 1:7-8: fear is displaced, not by self-confidence, but by the Spirit’s power, love, and self-control.

Counting the Cost, Embracing the Reward

• Public loyalty to Jesus may invite ridicule, job loss, even persecution. Mark 8:34 calls us to “take up your cross.”

• Yet Jesus promises eternal honor: “He who overcomes will be clothed in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the Book of Life.” (Revelation 3:5)

• Any earthly loss is “not worth comparing with the glory to be revealed.” (Romans 8:18)

Standing unashamed today—through words, deeds, and Spirit-empowered courage—echoes Christ’s heart and secures His smile when He returns in glory.

How does Mark 8:38 connect with Romans 1:16 about not being ashamed?
