How to find God's healing and guidance?
What steps can we take to experience God's healing and guidance today?

God’s Promise in Isaiah 57:18

“I have seen his ways, but I will heal him; I will guide him and restore comfort to him and his mourners.”

What the Promise Tells Us

• God notices every path we have taken—good, bad, or broken.

• He does not turn away but moves toward us with healing.

• He pledges personal guidance.

• He brings lasting comfort, not a momentary distraction.

Step 1: Acknowledge the God Who Sees

• Admit that nothing in life escapes His view. (Hebrews 4:13)

• Invite Him to search your heart. (Psalm 139:23-24)

• Honesty before God opens the door for His restoring work.

Step 2: Come Clean and Repent

• “Return to Me, and I will return to you.” (Malachi 3:7)

• Repentance is more than regret; it is turning from sin to the Savior.

• Jesus bore our sins “so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.” (1 Peter 2:24)

• Confession clears the debris that blocks healing and guidance.

Step 3: Rest in His Healing Touch

• “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3)

• Healing may be instant or a journey, but it is always real.

• Hold on to His promise; feelings will catch up with facts.

Step 4: Listen for His Guiding Voice

• Guidance flows out of relationship, not guesswork.

• “Trust in the LORD…He will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

• Expect clarity: “This is the way. Walk in it.” (Isaiah 30:21)

• Ask for wisdom; He gives generously. (James 1:5)

Step 5: Walk in Daily Obedience

Practical ways to stay aligned:

• Regular time in Scripture—“The Law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul.” (Psalm 19:7)

• Quick obedience to promptings of the Spirit. (John 14:26)

• Choosing integrity in decisions big and small.

Step 6: Remain in Community

• God “comforts us…so that we can comfort those in any trouble.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

• Healing deepens as we give and receive support.

• Isolation breeds confusion; fellowship sharpens discernment.

Step 7: Persevere in Hope

• Some wounds and questions take time.

• Keep rehearsing His promise: He sees, heals, guides, and comforts.

• Anticipate future grace—He finishes what He starts. (Philippians 1:6)

Take each step with confidence that the God who spoke through Isaiah still speaks, still heals, and still leads today.
