How to grow resources for God's work?
How can we practically "supply and multiply" resources for God's kingdom work?

Opening the Verse

“Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your store of seed and will increase the harvest of your righteousness.” — 2 Corinthians 9:10

Seeing God as the Source

• God alone “supplies seed” and “bread.”

Psalm 24:1 reminds us, “The earth is the LORD’s, and the fullness thereof.”

• Recognizing His ownership frees us to steward, not hoard.

Planting the Seed: Give First

• Give proportionally and cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:7).

• Tithing sets a baseline (Malachi 3:10) and teaches priority.

• Free-will offerings go beyond, reflecting love rather than obligation (Exodus 35:29).

Cultivating the Soil: Budgeting for Generosity

• Track income/expenses so giving isn’t accidental.

• List non-negotiables (housing, food) and negotiables (luxuries).

• Build a “generosity line” into every budget cycle.

Watering Faithfully: Prayerful Planning

• Pray over every dollar (Proverbs 3:5-6).

• Invite God to redirect funds as needs arise.

• Expect divine appointments—kingdom opportunities often appear unannounced.

Harvesting Through Work and Diligence

• “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart” (Colossians 3:23).

• Excellence at work enlarges income streams available for ministry.

• Avoid get-rich-quick schemes; Proverbs 13:11 warns that hasty gain dwindles.

Multiplication by Wise Stewardship

• Eliminate debt—interest payments divert seed that could be sown (Proverbs 22:7).

• Save strategically (Proverbs 6:6-8) to be ready when God says “give.”

• Invest ethically, seeking ventures that honor biblical values.

Partnering in Community

• Pool resources with like-minded believers (Acts 4:32-35).

• Match gifts—challenge others to join and watch impact compound.

• Share testimonies of provision; faith is contagious.

Expecting God’s Math

Luke 6:38: “Give, and it will be given to you… running over.”

Philippians 4:19: “My God will supply all your needs.”

Matthew 6:33: Seek first His kingdom, and necessities follow.

Living the Ongoing Cycle

1. Receive from God.

2. Return firstfruits to Him.

3. Manage the remainder wisely.

4. Watch Him multiply seed and harvest.

5. Repeat—each cycle enlarges both resources and righteousness.
