How to inspire others to seek God's will?
In what ways can we encourage others to seek God's will in their lives?

Rooted in Jesus’ Definition of Family

“ ‘For whoever does the will of God is My brother and sister and mother.’ ” (Mark 3:35)

• Jesus sets obedience to the Father as the mark of belonging.

• When we remind others that seeking God’s will brings them into intimate fellowship with Christ, motivation deepens beyond duty—it becomes about family ties with the Lord.

Model Obedience Before Them

• Let them see consistent, joyful submission in everyday choices (James 1:22; 1 Timothy 4:12).

• Talk openly about how you discerned God’s direction and the peace that followed (Isaiah 26:3).

• Authentic living turns abstract ideas into visible possibilities.

Open Scripture Together

• God’s will is revealed in His Word: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)

• Read passages that define His desires—Romans 12:1-2; Ephesians 5:17; Micah 6:8.

• Encourage note-taking and personal reflection so truth moves from page to heart.

Pray With Purpose

• Pray aloud that they “may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” (Colossians 1:9)

• Expect God to answer; 1 John 5:14 assures us He hears petitions aligned with His will.

• Regular, specific intercession keeps the quest for guidance in view.

Share Stories of God’s Faithfulness

• Testimonies display how the Lord directs and provides (Psalm 66:16; Revelation 12:11).

• Invite others to recount their own encounters; celebrating small victories builds confidence to seek Him further.

Offer Loving Accountability

• “Let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds.” (Hebrews 10:24-25)

• Set gentle check-ins: What have you sensed from the Lord this week?

• Mutual encouragement and correction (Proverbs 27:17; Galatians 6:1-2) guard against drift.

Guide Them to Listen and Respond

• Point to the Shepherd’s voice: “My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27)

• Teach practices of silence, journaling, and immediate obedience.

• Trust God’s internal work: “It is God who works in you to will and to act.” (Philippians 2:13).

Celebrate Each Step of Surrender

• Affirm progress, however small (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

• Rejoice together when God’s guidance becomes clear, reinforcing that seeking His will is worth every effort (Romans 15:13).
