How to join God's mission to save all?
How can we actively participate in God's desire for all to be saved?

God’s Heart for Salvation

1 Timothy 2:4—“who wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

• This isn’t wishful thinking; it is God’s stated desire. Because Scripture is literally true, we can trust that He means every word.

2 Peter 3:9 echoes the same heart: “He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

John 3:16 shows the extent of God’s love—He gave His Son so that “whoever believes” may have eternal life.

• Knowing God’s desire directs our actions. We join Him by aligning our priorities with His.

Pray First and Continually

1 Timothy 2:1–3 (context) calls for “petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings … for all people.”

Practical steps:

• Make a list of unsaved family, friends, coworkers, neighbors.

• Pray daily for softened hearts, open doors, and bold words (Colossians 4:3–4).

• Include global missions: pray for unreached people groups (Matthew 9:37–38).

• Thank God in advance, trusting His sovereignty (Philippians 4:6–7).

Speak the Gospel Clearly

Romans 10:14–15—people can’t believe without hearing, and they can’t hear without someone telling them.

• Ask God for timely opportunities; then share the simple gospel:

– God created us and loves us (Genesis 1–2, John 3:16).

– Sin separates us (Romans 3:23).

– Jesus died and rose to pay the penalty (1 Corinthians 15:3–4).

– We must repent and believe (Acts 16:31).

• Keep it conversational. Let Scripture speak; its truth is powerful (Hebrews 4:12).

Colossians 4:5–6—“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt.”

Live the Gospel Consistently

• Our lives either support or undermine our words.

Matthew 5:14–16—be light; good works point others to the Father.

1 Peter 3:15—live with hope that invites questions.

Practical habits:

• Integrity at work, kindness at home, patience in traffic.

• Apologize and make things right when we fail. Authenticity underscores the message.

Love Practically

Acts 10:38—Jesus “went about doing good.”

• Tangible actions open hearts:

– Provide meals, babysit, visit the sick.

– Serve the community through church outreaches.

– Engage in social needs while always keeping the gospel central (James 2:15–17).

• Jude 22–23—“have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them from the fire.”

Partner with the Church

• God designed the local church as the hub for gospel advance (Ephesians 3:10).

• Ways to participate:

– Support evangelistic events and missionaries.

– Teach classes, lead small groups, mentor new believers.

– Give faithfully; generosity fuels outreach (Philippians 4:16–17).

Persist and Trust God with the Results

• Salvation is God’s work; we are responsible to plant and water (1 Corinthians 3:6–7).

Galatians 6:9—don’t grow weary; harvest comes “at the proper time.”

• Jesus promised power through the Holy Spirit for witness “to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

Proverbs 11:30—“he who wins souls is wise.” Our labor aligns with God’s desire, and He will use it.

We participate in God’s desire for all to be saved by praying earnestly, sharing boldly, living authentically, loving tangibly, partnering faithfully, and trusting Him completely.
