How to live as saints today?
How can we live as "saints of the Most High" today?

Rooted in Daniel 7:18

“But the saints of the Most High will receive the kingdom and possess it forever—yes, forever and ever.”

Identity: Who We Are

• “Saints” means “holy ones,” people God has set apart by the blood of Christ (1 Peter 2:9; Ephesians 1:4).

• Our citizenship is already in heaven (Philippians 3:20), even while our feet are on earth.

• We are heirs with Christ, destined to “receive the kingdom” (Romans 8:17).

Perspective: Living Now in Light of Forever

Daniel 7:18 points forward to a literal, everlasting reign.

• Today we taste that future through the Holy Spirit, who is a pledge of what is coming (Ephesians 1:13-14).

• Every choice, conversation, and relationship becomes an opportunity to preview kingdom life.

Character: Holiness in Everyday Moments

• Pursue practical purity: “Be holy, because I am holy” (1 Peter 1:16).

• Guard the eyes, ears, and tongue (Psalm 101:3; James 3:2).

• Keep short accounts with God—confess sin quickly (1 John 1:9).

• Set boundaries that protect time for worship, rest, and family.

Mission: Salt, Light, and Witness

• Jesus calls us “the salt of the earth” and “the light of the world” (Matthew 5:13-16).

• Speak truth seasoned with grace (Colossians 4:6).

• Serve the vulnerable, reflecting the King’s heart (James 1:27).

• Share the gospel, inviting others to become fellow-heirs (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Strength: Fighting the Good Fight

• The kingdom is guaranteed, but opposition is real (Daniel 7:21; Ephesians 6:12).

• Put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18).

• Resist the devil, standing firm in faith (1 Peter 5:8-9).

• Remember: victory is already secured by Christ’s resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:57).

Practices That Shape Saints

• Daily Scripture intake—read, meditate, memorize (Psalm 119:11).

• Consistent prayer—adoration, confession, thanksgiving, intercession (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18).

• Corporate worship—do not neglect meeting together (Hebrews 10:24-25).

• Generous stewardship—time, talents, treasure (2 Corinthians 9:6-8).

• Intentional fellowship—spur one another on to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24).

• Sabbath rhythms—regular rest that trusts God’s provision (Exodus 20:8-11).

Hope: Encouragement for the Journey

• Suffering now cannot compare with coming glory (Romans 8:18).

• Our labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

• “He who calls you is faithful, and He will do it” (1 Thessalonians 5:24).

Live today as saints of the Most High—set apart, empowered, and joyfully anticipating the kingdom that we will soon “possess… forever and ever.”
