How to use Jesus' authority daily?
In what ways can you apply Jesus' authority in your daily spiritual battles?

The Unshakable Throne of Jesus

“...who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, with angels, authorities, and powers subject to Him.” (1 Peter 3:22)

Why This Matters for Today’s Battles

• Jesus’ current position—seated at the right hand of God—means every spiritual force is already under His rule.

• Because He is literally enthroned above all, we never fight for victory; we fight from victory.

Daily Ways to Stand in His Authority

• Speak His Word Aloud

– Jesus countered Satan’s temptations with Scripture (Matthew 4:4, 7, 10).

– Confess verses like Matthew 28:18: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” When you speak what He has said, you align yourself with His reign.

• Pray in Agreement with His Triumph

Colossians 2:15 states that Jesus “disarmed the powers and authorities.”

– Thank Him for that finished work before asking for help; it keeps your heart anchored in what He has already secured.

• Stand Firm, Don’t Negotiate

James 4:7: “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

– Submission places you under the covering of Christ’s authority; resistance releases that authority against the enemy.

• Clothe Yourself with His Armor

Ephesians 6:10-18 pictures armor that is essentially Jesus Himself—truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, the Word.

– Put it on verbally each morning; visualize each piece as a reminder that you’re wrapped in the Victor.

• Use the Name Above Every Name

Acts 3:6 shows Peter invoking “the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth” to heal.

– When oppression or fear presses in, declare, “In Jesus’ Name, leave.” His Name carries the full weight of His throne room.

• Guard Your Thought Life

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 tells us our weapons “demolish strongholds.”

– Capture thoughts of defeat and replace them with the reality of 1 Peter 3:22: every power is already “subject to Him.”

• Live as One Commissioned

John 20:21: “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”

– Walk into workplaces, schools, and homes conscious that Heaven’s authority accompanies each obedient step.

Encouragement for the Journey

Your daily skirmishes—whether temptation, anxiety, or relational strain—are real, but Jesus’ authority is more real. Lift your head, speak His truth, and move forward knowing the One who sits at the right hand of God is backing every faithful act you take today.

How does 1 Peter 3:22 connect with Ephesians 1:20-21 about Christ's exaltation?
