Responding to Jesus' power?
How should we respond when we feel Jesus' power working in our lives?

His Power Revealed – Mark 5:30

“At once Jesus was aware that power had gone out from Him. Turning around in the crowd, He asked, ‘Who touched My garments?’”

• The moment is historical, literal, and personal: real power flowed from the Lord’s body to a desperate woman.

• Jesus noticed; He still notices when His power moves in us today.

• Our first response mirrors hers—recognize the touch and refuse to treat it as coincidence.

Respond with Immediate Worship

• Thank Him aloud; power acknowledged becomes praise released.

Psalm 103:2 reminds, “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and do not forget all His kind deeds.” Forgetting quenches future faith; remembering fuels it.

Acts 3:8 shows the healed man “walking and leaping and praising God.” A grateful heart keeps the focus on the Giver, not merely the gift.

Confess His Work Publicly

• The woman “came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth” (Mark 5:33).

• Share testimonies—in family, church, workplace. Revelation 12:11 links overcoming to “the word of their testimony.”

• Public confession shifts atmospheres; it invites others to believe for the same power.

Stay Humble and Dependent

Philippians 2:13: “For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good purpose.”

• Any strength, success, or spiritual gift remains His operation, not our achievement.

• Pride insulates; humility becomes a conduit for continued flow.

Walk in Ongoing Obedience

• Power encounters are not an end but a launchpad into deeper surrender.

John 15:5: abiding in the Vine keeps our life fruitful; stepping outside cuts the circuit.

• Ask, “What next step of obedience matches the grace I just received?”—then take it.

Serve Others from the Overflow

Mark 6:7 shows Jesus giving His disciples authority and sending them out after they had witnessed His power.

• Every touch equips us to touch others—pray for the sick, encourage the weary, meet practical needs.

1 Peter 4:10: “Each of you should use whatever gift he has received to serve one another.”

Expect Increasing Measures

Luke 8:46: “Someone touched Me, for I know that power has gone out from Me.” If power flowed once, it can flow again.

Ephesians 1:19 speaks of “the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.”

• Live with anticipation; today’s testimony becomes tomorrow’s threshold for greater works.

Protect the Moment through Holiness

• Power and purity travel together. 2 Timothy 2:21 promises that a cleansed vessel is “useful to the Master.”

• Guard thought life, relationships, and habits so the channel remains clear.

Anchor Everything in Scripture

• Our experiences bow to the Word, never the reverse.

Acts 17:11 commends believers who “examined the Scriptures daily” to confirm what they encountered.

• Rooting experiences in chapter and verse safeguards from deception and keeps faith anchored.

Live a Lifestyle of Praise and Readiness

Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”

• Move through each day expecting His enabling power—in conversations, decisions, ministry moments.

• Continual praise keeps the heart tuned to recognize fresh surges of His strength.

Power experienced becomes power stewarded when we worship, witness, walk obediently, serve others, and stay anchored in the written Word that never fails.

How does Mark 5:30 connect with God's omniscience in Psalm 139:1-4?
