Using God's protection daily?
How can we apply the power of God's protection in our daily lives?

The Scene in Revelation 11:5

“If anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouths and devours their enemies. And if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way.” (Revelation 11:5)

Key truths we see here

• The witnesses are on mission for God; protection is tied to purpose.

• Power is granted by God, not self-generated.

• The protection is decisive—no enemy can ultimately thwart what God ordains.

Foundations for Daily Confidence

Psalm 91:2 – “He is my refuge and my fortress.”

Proverbs 18:10 – “The name of the LORD is a strong tower.”

2 Thessalonians 3:3 – “The Lord… will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.”

Isaiah 54:17 – “No weapon formed against you shall prosper.”

Ephesians 6:11-17 – The full armor of God.

These verses underscore that the same God who shielded the two witnesses stands ready to guard His people today.

Practical Ways to Walk in the Lord’s Protection

• Stay under His authority

– Obedience keeps us in the “safe zone” of His will (John 15:10).

• Start each day with the armor of God

– Belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6).

• Speak His Word aloud

– Just as fire proceeded from the witnesses’ mouths, our confession of Scripture pushes back darkness (Jeremiah 23:29).

• Pray for the hedge

– Ask the Father to station angels around family, home, and work (Psalm 34:7).

• Stand in faith, not fear

– Faith quenches “all the flaming arrows of the evil one” (Ephesians 6:16).

• Live righteously

– “The righteous are as bold as a lion” (Proverbs 28:1); sin-patterns open doors the enemy loves to exploit.

• Remain sensitive to the Spirit’s nudges

– He redirects, warns, and comforts (Acts 16:6-7).

• Walk in fellowship

– Isolation makes us vulnerable; community brings mutual protection (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).

Encouragement from Biblical Examples

• Daniel in the lions’ den (Daniel 6) – divine shutdown of physical threat.

• Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego (Daniel 3) – fire cannot harm when God is present.

• Elisha at Dothan (2 Kings 6) – unseen angelic armies outnumber visible foes.

Living It Out Today

God’s protection is not a distant, end-times phenomenon; it is the present inheritance of every believer. Stand in your calling, clothe yourself with His armor, speak His Word, and trust that no force can override the sovereign hand that guards His own.
