What to do if God sees their wrongs?
What actions should we take knowing "their iniquity is not hidden" from God?

The All-Seeing God

“ For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from Me, nor is their iniquity concealed from My eyes.” — Jeremiah 16:17

Because the Lord literally sees every action, thought, and motive, nothing slips past His gaze (Psalm 90:8; Hebrews 4:13). Knowing this changes how we live from the inside out.

Examine Our Own Hearts

• Invite the Spirit to search and reveal hidden sin (Psalm 139:23–24).

• Measure attitudes and habits against Scripture, not culture (2 Corinthians 13:5).

• Keep short accounts with God—daily review prevents hardening (Hebrews 3:13).

Confess and Repent Quickly

• “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us” (1 John 1:9).

• Confession means agreeing with God about the seriousness of sin; repentance means turning from it (Acts 3:19).

• Delay breeds deeper bondage; immediate repentance restores fellowship.

Cultivate Holy Fear and Reverence

• “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 1:7).

• Healthy awe guards against casual attitudes toward sin (1 Peter 1:17).

• Remembering that God sees all curbs secret compromise.

Live Transparently and Honestly

• “Surely You desire truth in the inmost being” (Psalm 51:6).

• Reject double lives; integrity means the same character in private and public (Ephesians 4:25).

• Let the light in—confidential accountability relationships protect against hidden patterns (Philippians 2:15).

Seek Accountability within the Body

• “Confess your sins to one another and pray for one another so that you may be healed” (James 5:16).

• Welcome correction; a brother’s loving rebuke can rescue from blind spots (Proverbs 27:6).

• Regular fellowship spurs us on to love and good deeds (Hebrews 10:24–25).

Pursue Practical Holiness

• God’s command is clear: “Be holy in all you do” (1 Peter 1:15–16).

• Replace sinful habits with Spirit-led disciplines—Scripture intake, prayer, service (2 Peter 1:5–8).

• Anticipate Christ’s return; purity flows from hope (1 John 3:2–3).

Intercede for Others Stuck in Hidden Sin

• Stand in the gap like Ezekiel (Ezekiel 22:30); plead for mercy before judgment falls.

• Share truth gently, aiming for restoration (Galatians 6:1).

• Rejoice when hidden darkness is exposed and healing begins (Luke 15:7).

Proclaim the Gospel Boldly

• God “now commands all people everywhere to repent” (Acts 17:30–31).

• Because unseen sin is still seen by Him, warn others lovingly of coming judgment (2 Corinthians 5:11).

• Offer the same grace that rescued us: Christ’s blood covers even secret iniquity (Romans 5:20).

Encouragement for the Journey

Though nothing escapes His sight, the God who sees is also “rich in mercy” (Ephesians 2:4). Approach His throne confidently, receive cleansing, and walk in the freedom of an open, honest life before Him.
