Psalm 24
Smith's Literal Translation Par ▾

The Earth Is the LORD’s

1To David chanting. To Jehovah the earth and its fulness, the habitable globe and they dwelling in it.

2For he founded it upon the seas, and upon the rivers he will prepare it.

3Who will go up to the mountain of Jehovah? and who shall stand in his holy place?

4The blameless one of hands and the clean of heart; who lifted not up his soul to vanity, and swore not for deceit.

5He shall receive a praise from Jehovah, and justice from God saving him.

6This the generation seeking him, searching out thy face O Jacob. Silence.

7Lift up your heads, ye gates, and be ye lifted up, ye openings of eternity, and the King of glory shall come in.

8Who is this King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty, Jehovah mighty for war.

9Lift up, ye gates, your heads, and be lifted up, ye openings of eternity, and the King of glory shall come in.

10Who is he, this King of glory? Jehovah of armies, he is the King of glory. Silence.
