Amo 1:3 For three transgressions of Damascus, even four,… “Maintain justice and do what is right, God required His people to uphold justice in courts, families, commerce, and care for the poor, the widow, the foreigner, and the oppressed. Such righteousness was never a means of earning salvation; it was the proper fruit of belonging to the God who judges evil and defends the helpless. Micah 6:8 and Amos 5:24 echo the same demand.
