Children and Parents
(Colossians 3:18–21)

1Children, obey your parents in the Lord; for this is right. 2"Honor your father and mother" (which, indeed, is the first commandment with a promise), 3"that it may be well with you, and that you may live long on the earth."

4And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and admonition of the Lord.

Serving with Honor
(Colossians 3:22–25; 1 Timothy 6:1–2)

5Servants, obey your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ; 6not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the soul, 7with good-will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men; 8knowing that whatsoever good thing each one does, this shall he receive from the Lord, whether bond or free.

9And, masters, do the same thing to them, forbearing the threat; knowing that both their Master and yours is in Heaven, and there is no respect of persons with Him.

The Full Armor of God

10Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. 11Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil; 12because to us the struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against the principalities, against the authorities, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13On this account, take up the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day; and, having fully accomplished all, to stand. 14Stand, therefore, having girded your loins about with truth, and having put on the breast-plate of righteousness, 15and having shod your feet with the preparation of the Gospel of peace; 16withal having taken up the shield of faith, with which ye will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. 17And receive the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18with all prayer and supplication praying at every opportunity in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints; 19and on my behalf that utterance may be given to me, in opening my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the Gospel, 20for which I am an ambassador in chains, that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

Final Greetings
(Philippians 4:21–23; 2 Timothy 4:19–22)

21But, that ye also may know my affairs, what I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make all things known to you; 22whom I sent to you for this very purpose, that ye may know our affairs, and that he may encourage your hearts.

23Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. 24Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruptness.
