Good News Translation
Once more David consulted God, who answered, "Don't attack them from here, but go around and get ready to attack them from the other side, near the balsam trees.

When David again inquired of God, God said to him, “You shall not go up after them; go around and come on them opposite the balsam trees.

David asked God what he should do, and God answered, "Don't attack them from the front. Circle around behind them where the balsam trees are.
