Good News Translation
and said to him, "Run and find the arrows I'm going to shoot." The boy ran, and Jonathan shot an arrow beyond him.

He said to the boy, “Run and find the arrows that I shoot.” As the boy ran, he shot an arrow beyond him.

Contemporary English Version
and told him, "When I shoot the arrows, you run and find them for me." The boy started running, and Jonathan shot an arrow so that it would go beyond him.
