Exodus 30:16
Good News Translation
Collect this money from the people of Israel and spend it for the upkeep of the Tent of my presence. This tax will be the payment for their lives, and I will remember to protect them."

New Revised Standard Version
You shall take the atonement money from the Israelites and shall designate it for the service of the tent of meeting; before the LORD it will be a reminder to the Israelites of the ransom given for your lives.

This money is to be used for the upkeep of the sacred tent, and because of it, I will never forget my people.
