| 1A song of ascents. Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in His ways! | 1How joyful are those who fear the LORD— all who follow his ways! |
| 2For when you eat the fruit of your labor, blessings and prosperity will be yours. | 2You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How joyful and prosperous you will be! |
| 3Your wife will be like a fruitful vine flourishing within your house, your sons like olive shoots sitting around your table. | 3Your wife will be like a fruitful grapevine, flourishing within your home. Your children will be like vigorous young olive trees as they sit around your table. |
| 4In this way indeed shall blessing come to the man who fears the LORD. | 4That is the LORD’s blessing for those who fear him. |
| 5May the LORD bless you from Zion, that you may see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life, | 5May the LORD continually bless you from Zion. May you see Jerusalem prosper as long as you live. |
| 6that you may see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel! | 6May you live to enjoy your grandchildren. May Israel have peace! |
