Berean Standard Bible | New Living Translation |
Vindicate me, O God, and plead my case against an ungodly nation; deliver me from deceitful and unjust men. | 1Declare me innocent, O God! Defend me against these ungodly people. Rescue me from these unjust liars. |
For You are the God of my refuge. Why have You rejected me? Why must I walk in sorrow because of the enemy’s oppression? | 2For you are God, my only safe haven. Why have you tossed me aside? Why must I wander around in grief, oppressed by my enemies? |
Send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me. Let them bring me to Your holy mountain and to the place where You dwell. | 3Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live. |
Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my greatest joy. I will praise You with the harp, O God, my God. | 4There I will go to the altar of God, to God—the source of all my joy. I will praise you with my harp, O God, my God! |
Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God. | 5Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God! |
