Psalm 142
ESV Parallel BSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionBerean Standard Bible
1With my voice I cry out to the LORD; with my voice I plead for mercy to the LORD.1A Maskil of David, when he was in the cave. A prayer. I cry aloud to the LORD; I lift my voice to the LORD for mercy.
2I pour out my complaint before him; I tell my trouble before him.2I pour out my complaint before Him; I reveal my trouble to Him.
3When my spirit faints within me, you know my way! In the path where I walk they have hidden a trap for me.3Although my spirit grows faint within me, You know my way. Along the path I travel they have hidden a snare for me.
4Look to the right and see: there is none who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me; no one cares for my soul.4Look to my right and see; no one attends to me. There is no refuge for me; no one cares for my soul.
5I cry to you, O LORD; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”5I cry to You, O LORD: “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”
6Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low! Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me!6Listen to my cry, for I am brought quite low. Rescue me from my pursuers, for they are too strong for me.
7Bring me out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name! The righteous will surround me, for you will deal bountifully with me.7Free my soul from prison, that I may praise Your name. The righteous will gather around me because of Your goodness to me.
