| 5You have multiplied, O LORD my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you! I will proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told. | 5 LORD my God, You have done many things-- Your wonderful works and Your plans for us; none can compare with You. If I were to report and speak of them, they are more than can be told. |
| 6In sacrifice and offering you have not delighted, but you have given me an open ear. Burnt offering and sin offering you have not required. | 6You do not delight in sacrifice and offering; You open my ears to listen. You do not ask for a whole burnt offering or a sin offering. |

| 11As for you, O LORD, you will not restrain your mercy from me; your steadfast love and your faithfulness will ever preserve me! | 11 LORD, do not withhold Your compassion from me; Your constant love and truth will always guard me. |
| 12For evils have encompassed me beyond number; my iniquities have overtaken me, and I cannot see; they are more than the hairs of my head; my heart fails me. | 12For troubles without number have surrounded me; my sins have overtaken me; I am unable to see. | 17As for me, I am poor and needy, but the Lord takes thought for me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God! | 17I am afflicted and needy; the Lord thinks of me. You are my helper and my deliverer; my God, do not delay. |
