| 21testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. | 21I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus. |
| 22And now, behold, I am going to Jerusalem, constrained by the Spirit, not knowing what will happen to me there, | 22"And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. |
| 23except that the Holy Spirit testifies to me in every city that imprisonment and afflictions await me. | 23I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. |
| 24But I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only I may finish my course and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God. | 24However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me--the task of testifying to the good news of God's grace. |

| 29I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; | 29I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. |
| 30and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them. | 30Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. |
| 31Therefore be alert, remembering that for three years I did not cease night or day to admonish every one with tears. | 31So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears. |

| 36And when he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all. | 36When Paul had finished speaking, he knelt down with all of them and prayed. |
