You are to construct the tabernacle itself with 10 curtains. You must make them of finely spun linen, and blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, with a design of cherubim worked into them. 1"You are to make the tent with ten curtains of fine woven linen and with blue, purple, and scarlet material. You are to make them with cherubim skillfully worked into them.
The length of each curtain should be 42 feet, and the width of each curtain six feet; all the curtains are to have the same measurements. 2The length of each curtain is to be 28 cubits, the width of each curtain four cubits, and all the curtains are to have the same measurements.
Five of the curtains should be joined together, and the other five curtains joined together. 3"Five of the curtains are to be joined together, and the other five curtains are to be joined together.
Make loops of blue yarn on the edge of the last curtain in the first set, and do the same on the edge of the outermost curtain in the second set. 4You are to make loops of blue material along the edge of the outermost curtain in the first set, and likewise you are to make loops along the edge of the outermost curtain in the second set.
Make 50 loops on the one curtain and make 50 loops on the edge of the curtain in the second set, so that the loops line up together. 5You are to make 50 loops in the one curtain, and you are to make 50 loops along the edge of the curtain that is in the second set, with the loops opposite each other.
Also make 50 gold clasps and join the curtains together with the clasps, so that the tabernacle may be a single unit." 6Then you are to make 50 gold clasps, and join the curtains to each other with the clasps so that the tent will be one piece.
You are to make curtains of goat hair for a tent over the tabernacle; make 11 of these curtains. 7"You are to make curtains of goat hair for a tent over the tent. You are to make eleven curtains.
The length of each curtain should be 45 feet and the width of each curtain six feet. All 11 curtains are to have the same measurements. 8The length of each curtain is to be 30 cubits, and the width of each curtain two cubits; the measurements of each of the eleven curtains is to be the same.
Join five of the curtains by themselves, and the other six curtains by themselves. Then fold the sixth curtain double at the front of the tent. 9You are to join five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and you are to double over the sixth curtain at the front of the tent.
Make 50 loops on the edge of the one curtain, the outermost in the first set, and make 50 loops on the edge of the corresponding curtain of the second set. 10You are to make 50 loops along the edge of the outermost curtain in the first set, and 50 loops along the edge of the curtain of the other set.
Make 50 bronze clasps; put the clasps through the loops and join the tent together so that it is a single unit.11You are to make 50 bronze clasps, put the clasps into the loops, and join the tent together so that it will be one piece.
As for the flap that is left over from the tent curtains, the leftover half curtain is to hang down over the back of the tabernacle. 12As for the excess that remains of the curtains of the tent—the half curtain that remains—is to hang over the back of the tent.
The half yard on one side and the half yard on the other of what is left over along the length of the tent curtains should be hanging down over the sides of the tabernacle on either side to cover it. 13The half cubit that remain on either end of the length of the curtains of the tent is to hang over each side of the tent to cover it.
Make a covering for the tent from ram skins dyed red and a covering of manatee skins on top of that." 14"You are to make a cover for the tent of ram skins dyed red and a covering of dolphin skins above that.
You are to make upright planks of acacia wood for the tabernacle. 15"You are to make upright boards of acacia wood for the tent.
The length of each plank is to be 15 feet, and the width of each plank 27 inches.16Each board is to be ten cubits long and one and a half cubits wide.
Each plank must be connected together with two tenons. Do the same for all the planks of the tabernacle. 17Each board is to have two pegs joined to one another, and you are to do this for all the boards of the tent.
Make the planks for the tabernacle as follows: 20 planks for the south side, 18You are to make the boards for the tent: 20 boards for the south side.
and make 40 silver bases under the 20 planks, two bases under the first plank for its two tenons, and two bases under the next plank for its two tenons; 19And you are to make 40 silver sockets under the 20 boards: two sockets under the one board for its two pegs and two sockets under the next board for its two pegs.
20 planks for the second side of the tabernacle, the north side, 20"For the second side of the tent to the north you are to make 20 boards
along with their 40 silver bases, two bases under the first plank and two bases under each plank; 21and 40 silver sockets for them, two sockets under one board and two sockets under the next board.
and make six planks for the west side of the tabernacle. 22On the west you are to make six boards for the rear of the tent,
Make two additional planks for the two back corners of the tabernacle. 23and you are to make two boards for the rear corners of the tent.
They are to be paired at the bottom, and joined together at the top in a single ring. So it should be for both of them; they will serve as the two corners. 24They shall be interlocked together at the bottom and connected on top by one ring. Do this for the two of them, and they are to be the two corners.
There are to be eight planks with their silver bases: 16 bases; two bases under the first plank and two bases under each plank." 25There is to be eight boards with their sixteen silver sockets, two sockets under one board and two sockets under the next board.
You are to make five crossbars of acacia wood for the planks on one side of the tabernacle, 26"You are to make bars of acacia wood, five for the boards on one side of the tent,
five crossbars for the planks on the other side of the tabernacle, and five crossbars for the planks of the back side of the tabernacle on the west. 27five bars for the boards on the second side of the tent, and five bars for the boards on the back side of the tent to the west.
The central crossbar is to run through the middle of the planks from one end to the other.28The center bar in the middle of the boards is to pass through from end to end.
Then overlay the planks with gold, and make their rings of gold as the holders for the crossbars. Also overlay the crossbars with gold. 29You are to overlay the boards with gold, and you are to make gold rings for them as holders for the bars, and you are to overlay the bars with gold.
You are to set up the tabernacle according to the plan for it that you have been shown on the mountain." 30You are to erect the tent according to the plan for it that was shown you on the mountain.
You are to make a veil of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen with a design of cherubim worked into it.31"You are to make a curtain of blue, purple, and scarlet material, and fine woven linen. You are to make it with cherubim skillfully worked into it.
Hang it on four gold-plated posts of acacia wood that have gold hooks and that stand on four silver bases. 32You are to hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, which have hooks of gold, and are set on four sockets of silver.
Hang the veil under the clasps and bring the ark of the testimony there behind the veil, so the veil will make a separation for you between the holy place and the most holy place. 33You are to hang the curtain from the clasps and bring the Ark of the Testimony there inside the curtain. The curtain is to separate for you the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.
Put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.34"You are to put the Mercy Seat on the Ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy Place.
Place the table outside the veil and the lampstand on the south side of the tabernacle, opposite the table; put the table on the north side." 35You are to put the table outside the curtain. You are to put the table on the north side with the lamp stand opposite the table on the south side of the tent.
For the entrance to the tent you are to make a screen embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet yarn, and finely spun linen. 36For the doorway of the tent you are to make a screen of blue, purple, and scarlet material, and with fine woven linen, the work of an embroiderer.
Make five posts of acacia wood for the screen and overlay them with gold; their hooks are to be gold, and you are to cast five bronze bases for them." 37You are to make five pillars of acacia for the screens and overlay them with gold. Their hooks shall be of gold, and you are to cast five bronze sockets for them."
