| 1A song. A psalm of the sons of Korah. The LORD is great and highly praised in the city of our God. His holy mountain, | 1A Song and Psalm for the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. |
| 2rising splendidly, is the joy of the whole earth. Mount Zion on the slopes of the north is the city of the great King. | 2Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. |
| 3God is known as a stronghold in its citadels. | 3God is known in her palaces for a refuge. |
| 4Look! The kings assembled; they advanced together. | 4For, lo, the kings were assembled, they passed by together. |
| 5They looked and froze with fear; they fled in terror. | 5They saw it, and so they marvelled; they were troubled, and hasted away. |
