1Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from heaven; praise him in the highest places.1Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise Him in the heights.
2Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his armies!2Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts.
3Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars. 3Praise Him, sun and moon; praise Him, all you shining stars.
4Praise him, you heaven of heavens, and you waters above the heavens.4Praise Him, highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens.
5Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he himself gave the command that they be created.5Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for He commanded, and they were created.
6He set them in place to last forever and ever; he gave the command and will not rescind it.6He set them in position forever and ever; He gave an order that will never pass away.
7Praise the LORD, you from the earth, you creatures of the sea and all you depths,7Praise the LORD from the earth, all sea monsters and ocean depths,
8fire, hail, snow, fog, and wind storm that carry out his command, 8lightning and hail, snow and cloud, powerful wind that executes His command,
9mountains and every hill, fruit trees and cedars,9mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,
10living creatures and livestock, insects and flying birds,10wild animals and all cattle, creatures that crawl and flying birds,
11earthly kings and all peoples, nobles and all court officials of the earth,11kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all judges of the earth,
12young men and young women alike, along with older people and children.12young men as well as young women, old and young together.
13Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is lifted up; his majesty transcends earth and heaven.13Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for His name alone is exalted. His majesty covers heaven and earth.
14He has raised up a source of strength for his people, an object of praise for all of his holy ones, that is, for the people of Israel who are near him. Hallelujah!14He has raised up a horn for His people, resulting in praise to all His godly ones, to the Israelites, the people close to Him. Hallelujah!
