Psalm 148
International Standard VersionNew American Standard Bible 1995
Hallelujah! Praise the LORD from heaven; praise him in the highest places.1Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights!
Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his armies!2Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts!
Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars. 3Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all stars of light!
Praise him, you heaven of heavens, and you waters above the heavens.4Praise Him, highest heavens, And the waters that are above the heavens!
Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he himself gave the command that they be created.5Let them praise the name of the LORD, For He commanded and they were created.
He set them in place to last forever and ever; he gave the command and will not rescind it.6He has also established them forever and ever; He has made a decree which will not pass away.
Praise the LORD, you from the earth, you creatures of the sea and all you depths,7Praise the LORD from the earth, Sea monsters and all deeps;
fire, hail, snow, fog, and wind storm that carry out his command, 8Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
mountains and every hill, fruit trees and cedars,9Mountains and all hills; Fruit trees and all cedars;
living creatures and livestock, insects and flying birds,10Beasts and all cattle; Creeping things and winged fowl;
earthly kings and all peoples, nobles and all court officials of the earth,11Kings of the earth and all peoples; Princes and all judges of the earth;
young men and young women alike, along with older people and children.12Both young men and virgins; Old men and children.
Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is lifted up; his majesty transcends earth and heaven.13Let them praise the name of the LORD, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above earth and heaven.
He has raised up a source of strength for his people, an object of praise for all of his holy ones, that is, for the people of Israel who are near him. Hallelujah!14And He has lifted up a horn for His people, Praise for all His godly ones; Even for the sons of Israel, a people near to Him. Praise the LORD!
