1Clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with a loud cry of joy! | 1Come, everyone! Clap your hands! Shout to God with joyful praise! |
2For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth. | 2For the LORD Most High is awesome. He is the great King of all the earth. |
3He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet. | 3He subdues the nations before us, putting our enemies beneath our feet. |
4He chose our inheritance for us, even the pride of Jacob whom he loved. Interlude | 4He chose the Promised Land as our inheritance, the proud possession of Jacob’s descendants, whom he loves. Interlude |
5God has ascended on high with a shout, the LORD has ascended with the blast of a trumpet. | 5God has ascended with a mighty shout. The LORD has ascended with trumpets blaring. |
6Sing songs to God! Sing songs! Sing songs to our King! Sing songs! | 6Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praises! |

9The nobles among the nations have joined the people of the God of Abraham.
