| 1Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation. | 1Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with my whole heart, in the company of the upright, in the congregation. |
| 2The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. | 2Great are the works of the LORD, studied by all who delight in them. |
| 3His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever. | 3Full of splendor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever. |
| 4He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion. | 4He has caused his wondrous works to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and merciful. |
| 5He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant. | 5He provides food for those who fear him; he remembers his covenant forever. |
| 6He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen. | 6He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the inheritance of the nations. |
| 7The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure. | 7The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy; |
| 8They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness. | 8they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness. |
| 9He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name. | 9He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name! |
| 10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. | 10The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever! |
