| 2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. | 2He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. |
| 3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. | 3He renews my life; He leads me along the right paths for His name's sake. |
| 4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. | 4Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff--they comfort me. |
