A Song of degrees. Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. | 1A Song of Ascents. Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD. |
Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. | 2Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications. |
If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? | 3If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? |
But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. | 4But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared. |
I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. | 5I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope. |
My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. | 6My soul waits for the Lord More than the watchmen for the morning; Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning. |
Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. | 7O Israel, hope in the LORD; For with the LORD there is lovingkindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. |
And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities. | 8And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities. |
