Psalm 114
KJV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNET Bible
1When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;1When Israel left Egypt, when the family of Jacob left a foreign nation behind,
2Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.2Judah became his sanctuary, Israel his kingdom.
3The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.3The sea looked and fled; the Jordan River turned back.
4The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.4The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs.
5What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?5Why do you flee, O sea? Why do you turn back, O Jordan River?
6Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?6Why do you skip like rams, O mountains, like lambs, O hills?
7Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;7Tremble, O earth, before the Lord--before the God of Jacob,
8Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.8who turned a rock into a pool of water, a hard rock into springs of water!
