| 3How will he severely punish you, you deceptive talker? | 3What will He do to you, and what will be added to you, O deceitful tongue? |
| 4Here's how! With the sharp arrows of warriors, with arrowheads forged over the hot coals. | 4Sharp arrows will come from the warrior, with burning coals of the broom tree! |
| 5How miserable I am! For I have lived temporarily in Meshech; I have resided among the tents of Kedar. | 5Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech, that I live among the tents of Kedar! |
| 6For too long I have had to reside with those who hate peace. | 6Too long have I dwelt among those who hate peace. |
