Psalm 62
NET Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew International Version
For the music director, Jeduthun; a psalm of David. For God alone I patiently wait; he is the one who delivers me. 1For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David. Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.
He alone is my protector and deliverer. He is my refuge; I will not be upended. 2Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
How long will you threaten a man? All of you are murderers, as dangerous as a leaning wall or an unstable fence. 3How long will you assault me? Would all of you throw me down-- this leaning wall, this tottering fence?
They spend all their time planning how to bring him down. They love to use deceit; they pronounce blessings with their mouths, but inwardly they utter curses. (Selah) 4Surely they intend to topple me from my lofty place; they take delight in lies. With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse.
Patiently wait for God alone, my soul! For he is the one who gives me confidence. 5Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.
He alone is my protector and deliverer. He is my refuge; I will not be upended. 6Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
God delivers me and exalts me; God is my strong protector and my shelter. 7My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
Trust in him at all times, you people! Pour out your hearts before him! God is our shelter! (Selah) 8Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
Men are nothing but a mere breath; human beings are unreliable. When they are weighed in the scales, all of them together are lighter than air. 9Surely the lowborn are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie. If weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath.
Do not trust in what you can gain by oppression! Do not put false confidence in what you can gain by robbery! If wealth increases, do not become attached to it! 10Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them.
God has declared one principle; two principles I have heard: God is strong, 11One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: "Power belongs to you, God,
and you, O Lord, demonstrate loyal love. For you repay men for what they do. 12and with you, Lord, is unfailing love"; and, "You reward everyone according to what they have done."
