Psalm 14
NIV Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionChristian Standard Bible
1For the director of music. Of David. The fool says in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good.1The fool says in his heart, "There's no God." They are corrupt; they do vile deeds. There is no one who does good.
2The LORD looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.2The LORD looks down from heaven on the human race to see if there is one who is wise, one who seeks God.
3All have turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.3All have turned away; all alike have become corrupt. There is no one who does good, not even one.
4Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call on the LORD.4Will evildoers never understand? They consume my people as they consume bread; they do not call on the LORD.
5But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is present in the company of the righteous.5Then they will be filled with dread, for God is with those who are righteous.
6You evildoers frustrate the plans of the poor, but the LORD is their refuge.6You sinners frustrate the plans of the oppressed, but the LORD is his refuge.
7Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the LORD restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!7Oh, that Israel's deliverance would come from Zion! When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
