Psalm 19
NIV Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionChristian Standard Bible
For the director of music. A psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.1The heavens declare the glory of God, and the expanse proclaims the work of his hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.2Day after day they pour out speech; night after night they communicate knowledge.
They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.3There is no speech; there are no words; their voice is not heard.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.4Their message has gone out to the whole earth, and their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens he has pitched a tent for the sun.
It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course.5It is like a bridegroom coming from his home; it rejoices like an athlete running a course.
It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth.6It rises from one end of the heavens and circles to their other end; nothing is hidden from its heat.
The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.7The instruction of the LORD is perfect, renewing one's life; the testimony of the LORD is trustworthy, making the inexperienced wise.
The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.8The precepts of the LORD are right, making the heart glad; the command of the LORD is radiant, making the eyes light up.
The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous.9The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever; the ordinances of the LORD are reliable and altogether righteous.
They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.10They are more desirable than gold--than an abundance of pure gold; and sweeter than honey dripping from a honeycomb.
By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.11In addition, your servant is warned by them, and in keeping them there is an abundant reward.
But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.12Who perceives his unintentional sins? Cleanse me from my hidden faults.
Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression.13Moreover, keep your servant from willful sins; do not let them rule me. Then I will be blameless and cleansed from blatant rebellion.
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.14May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.
