Psalm 43
NIV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionNET Bible
1Vindicate me, my God, and plead my cause against an unfaithful nation. Rescue me from those who are deceitful and wicked.1Vindicate me, O God! Fight for me against an ungodly nation! Deliver me from deceitful and evil men!
2You are God my stronghold. Why have you rejected me? Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?2For you are the God who shelters me. Why do you reject me? Why must I walk around mourning because my enemies oppress me?
3Send me your light and your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.3Reveal your light and your faithfulness! They will lead me, they will escort me back to your holy hill, and to the place where you live.
4Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my joy and my delight. I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God.4Then I will go to the altar of God, to the God who gives me ecstatic joy, so that I express my thanks to you, O God, my God, with a harp.
5Why, my soul, are you downcast? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God.5Why are you depressed, O my soul? Why are you upset? Wait for God! For I will again give thanks to my God for his saving intervention.
