Sing out the honor of His name; Make His praise glorious. | 2Sing the glory of His name; make His praise glorious. |
Say to God, “How awesome are Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You. | 3Say to God, “How awesome are Your deeds! So great is Your power that Your enemies cower before You. |
All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah | 4All the earth bows down to You; they sing praise to You; they sing praise to Your name.” Selah |
Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men. | 5Come and see the works of God; how awesome are His deeds toward mankind. |
He turned the sea into dry land; They went through the river on foot. There we will rejoice in Him. | 6He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the waters on foot; there we rejoiced in Him. |
He rules by His power forever; His eyes observe the nations; Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah | 7He rules forever by His power; His eyes watch the nations. Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah |
Oh, bless our God, you peoples! And make the voice of His praise to be heard, | 8Bless our God, O peoples; let the sound of His praise be heard. |
Who keeps our soul among the living, And does not allow our feet to be moved. | 9He preserves our lives and keeps our feet from slipping. |
For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us as silver is refined. | 10For You, O God, have tested us; You have refined us like silver. |
You brought us into the net; You laid affliction on our backs. | 11You led us into the net; You laid burdens on our backs. |
You have caused men to ride over our heads; We went through fire and through water; But You brought us out to rich fulfillment. | 12You let men ride over our heads; we went through fire and water, but You brought us into abundance. |
I will go into Your house with burnt offerings; I will pay You my vows, | 13I will enter Your house with burnt offerings; I will fulfill my vows to You— |
Which my lips have uttered And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble. | 14the vows that my lips promised and my mouth spoke in my distress. |
I will offer You burnt sacrifices of fat animals, With the sweet aroma of rams; I will offer bulls with goats. Selah | 15I will offer You fatlings as burnt offerings, with the fragrant smoke of rams; I will offer bulls and goats. Selah |
Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul. | 16Come and listen, all you who fear God, and I will declare what He has done for me. |
I cried to Him with my mouth, And He was extolled with my tongue. | 17I cried out to Him with my mouth and praised Him with my tongue. |
If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear. | 18If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. |
But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. | 19But God has surely heard; He has attended to the sound of my prayer. |
Blessed be God, Who has not turned away my prayer, Nor His mercy from me! | 20Blessed be God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld from me His loving devotion! |
