1A Psalm of David. The earth is the LORD’s, and all its fullness, The world and those who dwell therein.

1The earth and everything in it exists for the LORD— the world and those who live in it.

2For He has founded it upon the seas, And established it upon the waters.

2Indeed, he founded it upon the seas, he established it upon deep waters.

3Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place?

3Who may ascend the mountain of the LORD? Who may stand in his Holy Place?

4He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.

4The one who has innocent hands and a pure heart; the person who does not delight in what is false and does not swear an oath deceitfully.

5He shall receive blessing from the LORD, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.

5This person will receive blessing from the LORD and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah

6This is the generation that seeks him. Those who seek your face are the true seed of Jacob. Interlude

7Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.

8Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, The LORD mighty in battle.
